Seeing Sam react to the deaths of his father and brother were needed, Jon being told the truth of his parents was needed. So many people were reunited, some for the first time since season 1. I personally think it was the perfect setup for a final season. People were expecting it to be six hours long and be nothing but endless action scenes… and if that had been what it was, they would have complained about that too. People are a bunch of whiny bitches that are never pleased with anything these days. I think there’s a misconception here… Just because one was not pleased doesn’t mean they are not a TRUE fan… Some were pleased with specific things, and some were not. I personally feel the first episode was rushed, I felt it could have used more context between certain character’s but I still enjoyed bits and pieces. I just hope the final season doesn’t feel rushed like how I felt with a few parts in season 7. I trust that there is more greatness to come, but I am afraid of not being pleased with the end if it is (rushed).
