I agree with you Scott. The property tax is on the house, not the van. The people with the property are also paying a mortgage no doubt. Hooking up to their electric, means you are using their system. So without out your very responsible friends paying a mortgage and taxes for the property you stay on, well then you would have to pay for a campsite. Personally having camped for six straight weeks in our camper, and paying for sites… Vintage she’s a bad mama llama shirt not just five dollars a day, more like 35 if you want water and electric and toilet services. stay the society-made sheep that you are but don’t go around and spread false information on a topic you obviously don’t know jack about. Solar systems, paying for a place to park and AC, using minimal resources etc. You are part of the problem; I want to be apart of the solution.

What happens when you get too old to ride your bikes and do mountain climbing and need some care. Will you be collecting SSI when you become 65/70? Or, will you just ask a friend to push you off a ledge? we do pay taxes on our motor vehicles. You don’t need to hook up to their electric as many who live in vans have figured a way. And I mean heck you can offer to pay the land owner for letting you park your vehicle. There are ways to make it work without “mooching”
