I’m puzzled how whoever put this together so inaccurately used the phrase “for centuries”. Blackholes weren’t even identified or theorized until less than a century ago, and the galaxies that these super massive blackholes reside in weren’t even known to exist until a century ago. Just saying, you may want to be a bit more careful in the language you use for these videos. I think ever since Newton’s days, and his insights about gravity, the inevitability of what we today call black holes, have made scientists scratch their heads, so.. it is not as “off” as it may sound They wants to find the universe while thousands of people lost their lives due to insufficient food on the face of earth everyday. Just focus your big big telescopes on them. The universe does not need your attentions but humanity.
