I’m glad the dad finally found peace, and forgiveness. I wish I could say the same. No one was took from me, but my childhood was horrendous. My “dad” physically and mentally abused my autistic brother and I. He put us through Hell. We were thrown, punched, slapped, choked, put in separate rooms, sometimes for days. He would shock me with a cattle prod, turning it on, Never mess with a new brunswick girl we know places where no one will find you shirt sticking it to me, and then turning it off and sticking it to me to make me think it was still. We went through some very bad stuff. I’ve tried to forgive him, but he takes no responsibility for what he did.

He only tries to contact me when he needs something. It sucks, and I feel guilty cause I’m trying to be a Christian, but I just don’t think I can forgive this person.
