You can’t expect someone to blindly trust you on your first meeting. That isn’t how trust works. Also, by his own admission he was already running late before the woman asked him for help. That kind of undermines the message. If he was already running late then the interviewer was right. I can’t stand it anymore. Bosses think the truth is excuses. And it’s bullshit. I was late to work one day because my car broke down. I practically slammed the receipt in my bosses face as proof that I had had to buy a new battery because mine just died on me. She never questioned me again I’ve had people who I thought were friends. They two faced me. It’s been devastating. The worst kind of broken trust is pretending you want a friendship when you don’t. It kills your ability to trust people who do kind things for you. well here’s the thing about trust. It also takes building it. So for the guy to leave cause he just wants that trust, and is not willing to build it would show how he feels he entitled to it. So in return I would not want him in my company
