So if the point of this meme is that because there are still homeless people in the world I don’t always listen to my grandpa shirt then the sentiment that all lives matter is moot and it’s okay to take lives of people as long as they don’t have black skin, it seems pretty

All lives do matter. In our constitutional republic, you’re responsible for providing for your own needs, you don’t get to impose those on others. If that doesn’t work for you than I suggest you go back to whatever third world hell hole your parents came from and enjoy all the free stuff it provides. Because universal healthcare acually negatively impacts the cost and quality of healthcare, as we;ve seen time and time again. I don’t always listen to my grandpa shirt We’ve always had universal healthcare in the US, in that no person needing care is turned away. We’ve just never had competitive INSURANCE rates because insurance companies were not allowed to compete across state lines (interestingly enough, promoting interstate commerce is one of the FEW things the federal government is supposed to do).

Prisons being privatized has nothig to do with he equal value of lives lost on the streets. And homeless people existing has nothing to do with whether they matter, it’s a much more complex social problem than just whether they matter. This meme is just lame. A millenial holding a microphone at us is supposed to shame us or something, I guess. But you could make the argument, “If all lives matter, then how come we don’t all have rocky road ice cream in front of us right now?” The two have nothing to do with one another. Black Lives Matter vs. All Lives Matter is a debate dealing with the issue of DEATH, and whether or not the color of one’s skin matters in that instance.
