My boy Maverick was abused and left for dead as a puppy a couple winters ago. Someone found him and took him to the shelter. A couple days later, there I was, You are my sunshine dog paw sunflower shirt sitting on the pound floor trying to coax him out of the kennel. I fell in love that day and I truly believe that my husband and I saved this guy.

I call BS…places CAN be found that will allow pets, esp small ones, but you have to put in the effort to find them. Way too easy to say “oh wahh, we can’t find a place that will let us have a dog/cat/ferret/dragon so we have to drop them in a shelter”. You wouldn’t put your kids up for adoption because you’re moving, why would you do it with your pets? I hope more people get involved You are my sunshine dog paw sunflower shirt i rescue and am always at capacity i swear you wont regret it they require so little and give so much dont depend on other people to be the one. Life is about what u give not what u get. If u have room take them in they are probably 3 and 6 so u will have about 10 yrs with them

if you r lucky but maybe less Its sickening that their family had to give them up due to not being able to find a place that takes pets. Most people nowadays have fur babies and they have to be able to keep them in the family. People that rent please have some compassion! He is my sweet, not-so-little guy, Arno, here he was 5 months old… Adopted 2 years ago. He has the happiest dog life ever. Tons of toys, doggydaycare, comfy bed, lots of love. Never buying any dog, while thousands are on the street waiting to be saved.
