The owners of many small dogs (not all of course, there are some very good owners) will excuse their dogs by laughing and saying the dog is playing at being a big dog!!! It is usually the owner’s fault that the dog is like it is, a dog learns from it’s owner what is it is not acceptable. They get away with it If you don’t have one chihuahua you’ll never understand shirt because the single bite damage from a small dog is minimal in comparison with a single bite damage from a large dog, but most vets will tell you that they fear small dogs but not large ones,.and that’s down to the little ones being spoiled.
If you don’t have one chihuahua you’ll never understand shirt
I have friends with chihuahuas, some are lovely, sweet little dogs who walk, others are nasty monsters who are carried about and snarl and snap at anyone who speaks to them. Their owners attitude always has been “Oh look, so tiny but he thinks he’s a Rottweiler”.and to laugh. It’s not the dog’s fault, it’s the owner. so why is it when a large breed is vicious it gets put on the danger list but not these that obviously could never do the damage like a large dog but still If you don’t have one chihuahua you’ll never understand shirt could inflict a wound two wrongs don’t make a right!! I hate it when they are of lead running up to my dogs yapping now if one of mine broke free off the lead it would be game over for the ankle biter!!! I think people here are coming down in the for or against feisty dogs camp and you can’t do that.
I love ‘feisty’ dogs, but that’s NOT the same as nasty ones. I fully respect owners who love their dogs and are proud of them, but that’s not the same as allowing them to get away with behaving aggressively. A good owner learns what their dog needs in order to teach it how to behave properly, ie without biting, then everybody else can love it as much as the owner does, lucky dog. Me? I’m a sucker for any dog that is not aggressive and heartbroken by the ones that are aggressive because those dogs have been let down by their owners who have failed to show their pets what is, and is not, acceptable behaviour.
