s a Kiwi Vietnam vet I would like to say thanks to all the Americans I served with in Saigon, Seabees, US Navy, US Army, I want my daughter to be kind but I also shirt and places like Long Binh, Bien Hoa etc. Great bunch of guys. I hope they remember the Kiwi Club in FWMAO compound Saigon.

My 13 year old daughter visited the wall yesterday for the first time and did a rubbing of a family members sacrifice. As a 12 year Vet of the Army…a meaningful moment You have to be tough stuff to go from the heat of Vietnam to inland Alaska and survive. I still remembered how you shivered when first were back from Vietnam. I want my daughter to be kind but I also shirt Maybe that is what inspired my sister to make quilts. for doing your duty to our country. You came home, but with serious health issues. Thank God the govt stepped up and is caring for you! Love you and am proud of you!
There are thousands of names on the wall, and many that are not, because their deaths were not directly related………We went off to war and were not welcomed home when we came back……No other veterans, of any war, were, or have been, treated this way. There are names on the wall that I know and it is always an emotional experience for me each time I get to see it (have only seen the smaller traveling version). I guess you went and came back with no negative experiences???? I went in 1970 and when I returned in 1971 there was a peace rally at LA International. A protester came up to me, holding a “baby killer” sign, and said he was going to spit on my uniform.
