Thought about getting a doctorate, but attending seminary instead, and have no intention of shoving my religion down anyone’s throat. I don’t even want the job of Secretary of Education, and I would be a better one than DeVos.

Served under 8 principals and 3 superintendents during 6 years in one building. That building was a public charter school my first year there, then went back to being a district school. Principals would try to get maintenance done, but there was a master plan that only a few people knew about to abandon the building, so not even the peeling paint got fixed. It was closed 2 year after I left. I also was a director of education (on-going sales would be more accurate) Laura ingraham elizabeth warren stop hate for profit fox news racket shirt for a national tutoring company. I have tutored adults for GED, and substitute taught All subjects k-12. I taught in rural; suburban and inner city settings in fully accredited and in provisionally accredited school districts. Have my BA and a Master’s. I have also ran two very different types of businesses.

it certainly is possible. It’s not about knowing all content. A well-trained teacher understands different instructional strategies and student needs. Many teachers continue their studies in curriculum and educational leadership and become principals, school superintendents or college faculty. There would be many solid choices for S of Ed who had a teaching background. Of course it’s possible and makes complete sense. Experience teaching in a public school classroom should absolutely be a requirement for this position. She is NOT talking about pulling a first grade teacher from a classroom directly to be Secretary of Education. However, there is a progression and many teachers go on to work as Principals, Superintendents, and Commissioner’s of Education for the #1 State for education. I am referring, of course, to the current MA Commisioner of Education, Jeff Riley, who would certainly be up to the task whether he wants the job or not.
