Stop all foreign aid for 5 years and flow that money into our deficite so we can draw social security that we paid into our whole lives. I believe we give lots of money to countries in which the caravans came from. Tell me, if they are receiving this aid, why are they fleeing to America? The concept of foreign aid sounds great, but do you really trust the leaders of these countries to distribute it amongst the people? I would have thought our tax dollars should be used to help the 10K homeless veterans, or maybe to help those living in slums in cities like Chicago and Detroit would have been higher priorities? Who knew a starving baby in Syria was more important than a starving baby under a blue tarp in Los Angeles? Fyi no matter what we do social security must end or it eventually will end on its own after the country’s economy goes bankrupt. It is and always has been unsustainable….even if it hadnt gone into general revenue it is a ponzi scheme and they always crash

it’s sad that political science and economics teach us today to help neighbors in other countries before helping our neighbor down the street? Yes, as you said before, our educational system blows! I understand now. Our federal government has to help other nations first before helping Americans? The job of helping Americans first is a local matter? Then you agree the homeless problem in Los Angeles is the fault of local politicians, mostly democrats? The money given to Iran was THEIR money, frozen In a trust.
