After viewing this video, I am reminded that there are many out there who think that this couple should have been MURDERED before their births. Why? Too costly to raise, with all of their special needs; or, they would have such a low quality of life. Yeah, sure looks like a low quality of life, doesn’t it. And the expense of raising them because of special needs; that’s the business of their families, not the social engineers. I don’t half ass anything I fuck it all the way up shirt Like many of you, I’ve known several with Down’s Syndrome; and their perspective on what living is to be like is something we could ALL learn from. It is we “normal” people that need their example.
A church my wife and I attended, had a young man with DS. He was 19 when we met him, and he is now 43. Our pastor always was fond of saying that “every church needs a Tommy.” I’ve never seen ANYONE that exemplified genuine love and respect for all others, better then he does. I wish we could all be “afflicted” like that. This is your opinion but you shouldn’t have the right to choose for all women. DS kids function at different levels and I have a friend that has DS daughter that is not high functioning and will need to be taken care us after he and his wife are dead. Fortunately he is rich! What would happen otherwise. All you so called pro life people don’t want to pay for anything. You’re just pro-birth.
