Thank you and keep that fire burning! You’ve lit mine! An amazing 1st grade teacher from my hometown contracted this horrible disease on a trip. Lost both legs. Her stumps were too short for prosthesis. She eventually went back to work in her wheelchair and finished her years out to retirement. She was a local hero and even carried the Olympic torch. Fuck you this much shirt I cried my eyes out watching her and felt so much joy watching this incredible and beyond inspirational story about what is possible in this life even against all odds! This is an inspirational witness of how a person overcame personal adversity. It happens everyday and most of us are unaware of the challenges many people meet and overcome.

So this video speaks to me! I may not have lost my legs or my kidney function, but I have lost in other ways. That loss gave me the courage to persevere! To reach MY limits and surpass them (in so many ways)!! Great video and so empowering! My dad at 12 in 1959 had the same thing. They told my grandma to make funeral arrangements. She refused, and sat at his bed side for three months praying non stop.
