I too got fired up but I remember a few cases worse like the lady who was shot in the face with shot gun close up I meet her at the Alfred hospital around late 70 early 80ies and the lass that was bashed then her boyfriend doused her in petrol and set her on fire upper body head badly burnt grey both lived but this should not be happening and the punishment is not enough to stop these people from going this domestic violence. The offender travelled over 400km to breach orders and is restrained from going with 5km of place we live frequent attend school work childcare. This person was less than 500m away from my daughters childcare. For the 27 breaches the penalty was a joke including no conviction recorded. What’s the point in orders. No wonder so many die as a result of domestic violence in this country. Today i rang 000 twice fearing for pur safety and was advised if i see them again call 000 why ? Shame shame shame. It really makes a joke of Family Violence Orders and the White Ribbon Campaign. Shows nothing has been learnt and the Family Violence Orders are meaningless when Victoria Police fail to do their job. They wonder why women and children continue to suffer and die at the hands of violent offenders.
