Crowds of fans at a high school football game in Wisconsin exploded in the stands led by US police.
Police officer Jack Taschner made a big impression after two years of keeping order at Appleton East School when he directed students to perform a “drive the bus” campaign, Inside Edition reported on September 25.
Police cheering causes fever in American school stands
Taschner has long observed students performing cheerleading exercises while watching school sporting events. “This time I decided to join the kids,” Taschner said.
In the video shared by the Appleton Police Department on Facebook, Taschner’s appearance seemed to spoil the cheering atmosphere of the students before he caused the audience to explode with cheers. Only one student knew Taschner ‘s intention to surprise.
The Appleton East School bus police poster has attracted more than 3 million views on Facebook. “Aren’t the police supposed to be the bad guys?”, commented Vince Cannon on September 25. “Awesome,” said account Kathryn Sheppard Thornhill .
Taschner hopes the video’s good response will pave the way for good relationships. ” In my opinion, it’s important for students to realize that we’re only human. Only then will communication be better,” Taschner said.
Defeating Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles Win First Super Bowl
The 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots helped the “Eagles” become the new champion of American football.
The Philadelphia Eagles were much underrated compared to the New England Patriots before the final game of the season. The Patriots have a seasoned squad, with the best midfielder in Tom Brady history and the defending champion before entering the Super Bowl.
However, defensive player Brandon Graham was the one to put an end to the Patriots with a mighty breakthrough to win the ball in the hands of Tom Brady, helping the Eagles end the game 41-33. This was the first Super Bowl championship in the team’s history after winning the NFL three times in 1948, 1949 and 1960.
Midfielder Nick Foles led his teammates through four rounds of chases with the Patriots to receive the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Super Bowl. This was something few expected when Foles arrived in Philadelphia in March 2017 as a backup player. It was not until round 14, the midfielder in 1989 was allowed to play on the football field instead of the injured Carson Wentz. During the Super Bowl, Foles successfully passed 28 of 43 pitches, creating three points at the bottom of the field.
Foles has overtaken the shadow of Tom Brady, who won five Super Bowls and was voted MVP four times. In the match where Brady was not in good form, the Patriots’ defensive loopholes cost them. Foles’ straight pitches to the mid-axis and breakthroughs from LeGarrette Blount and Corey Clement opened the door for the Eagles to win.
Meanwhile, the Eagles’ defense has had a great day as it has for most of this season. The situation in which Graham dropped Brady the ball and let Derek Barnett win it with about two minutes remaining was the moment the Philadelphia fans saw the Super Bowl title.
Entering the match as the champion, the Patriots received great expectations to successfully defend the throne, when the house rate offered was the Eagles handicap to 5.5 points. Tom Brady is the most mentioned name at America’s number one sporting event with the opportunity to become the first player to have six Super Bowl championships.
