I remember when this movie first came out you couldn’t find many products or toys related to this movie at all. The fans of it eventually got Disney to realize it was a cash cow Jack skellington piss me off I will slap you so hard even google won’t be able to find you shirt and that’s when they finally started putting out the merchandise. It’s too bad it didn’t get the support it really needed when it first came out but I’m glad it finally did.

I was at Disney World at the end of October 1993, and there was an entire store dedicated to Nightmare Before Christmas… I hadn’t seen the movie yet, and didn’t go in. Oh, how I regretted it! And then Hot Topic started releasing merchandise in 2003 for the film’s 10th anniversary and millions of young people who didn’t care for the film originally became obsessed as did many others in what has become known as the poser nightmare trend. Needless to say I was there when the film originally hit theaters and will always be a diehard fan. Me and brother saw it in theatre as younguns. Jack skellington piss me off I will slap you so hard even google won’t be able to find you shirt I remember there was a special popcorn bucket with Jack’s facr on it. I no longer have the bucket Our girl friends and especially my grandma couldn’t understand how three little Peruvian-American girls could be so in love with it. (Hey, we liked watching stuff like Beetlejuice, Hocus Pocus, and even Poltergeist then. It was just our thing~)

Long ago as far as I can trace back, I remember it all so fondly, the very first time I saw Jack. The town of Halloween brought excitement in my eyes, course then again I was only four at the time. The Nightmare Before Christmas gave off a horrible title to traditional eyes, that they would rather keep it out of young minds so no imagination could fly. As time slowly passed the Pumpkin King began to rise, slowly making his way into my heart where I promise you, he will never die, Happy Halloween When Nightmare before Christmas first came out, it was released under Touchstone Pictures because Disney thought it was too dark to be considered a Disney movie. when it came out on VHS. We memorized and wrote down every song, so that any time we had a long wait, we could recite and sing the whole thing if need be. (I couldn’t have been older than 9!)
