Socialism supplants God with the State. The State becomes all-powerful, almighty, the source of all values and blessings. It is idolatry. They are two very different ways of treating people. You are correct in that Jesus spent his entire ministry feeding and ministering to other(not just the poor) he did it free of charge,He did it free of obligation from others. When Jesus fed the 5000 he did not take food from others to give to the poor. When he healed the sick he did not take the health of those who where healthy and give it to the sick. When he taught he taught all who came to listen to him, the rich, the poor, the sick the healthy. Women an dmen, adults and childernWhat you seem to not understand is that socialism takes from from people and gives to others. This is what goes against what Jesus taught, what he lived for and what he died for.
