Well, assuming that you haven’t seen the movie yet, all you have to back up your accusation of “jump scares” are 2 trailers and some tv spots.

Warner/New Line isn’t stupid, of course they are going to market the movie the way that they did, by stuffingthose trailers with jump scares. It most definitely will attract a wider audience by doing it that way. It’s already been confirmed by the director, producers and several other people that have seen advance screenings, that this movie definitely is NOT full of jump scares. He doesn’t look how he’s described to be in the book. The book describes him as a mix between Bozo the clown
