People will get use to carry a reusable bag. They are stronger and last longer. my mother always washed the plastic bags in hot soapy water that we got food in. Then the bags were rinsed and hung out on the clothes line to dry, then she reused them. This was about 55years ago here in my town princeton wv our local stores have plastic paper and reusable bags. The reusable come in 2 types thermal which keep hot food hot or frozen and cold foods cold. They are bout 3 dollars a bag the other reusable bags are like a recycled canvas
