I did, and I had the unique opportunity opportunity to take state mandated High School graduate exams in two states and the level and quality of what is expected varies dramatically, terrifyingly so. High Average in civics in Florida was and I am not exaggerating a perfect score in Ohio. I and my sister were accused of cheating and had to take it again, with repeat results. However, the goal of the Constitutional Society is to increase education to adults and students about how our government works vs how it is supposed to work. We want to drive this at each state level to keep the Feds out of it. They are required to be taught, however, it appears we have far too many students graduating with little success in either learning or retaining the information. A test required for graduation might give incentive to retain some of it.
