I got little rebellion myself in my teens but it was for short time while I realized how the world are once I was on my own but instead of victimization I did put my dad’s and mom’s “rudeness” into practice and I succeed. Never criticize parents if there is not mental abuse or other type of unacceptable abuse. If they made me work my ass off that means they were thinking in making me strong and productive adult. I’m so glad the “strong old ways” of extreme, emotionless upbringing are on their way out. he is why he is who he is today. His dad taught him his work ethic by never being proud of him. His dad made him choose to have the work ethic he has now bc he was constantly chasing his dad’s attention and was constantly being pushed out. That is not a dad. A dad loves his children, not just makes them strong. A dad is not emotionless while a mother is the emotion. A man is allowed to have and show emotions. You are not a strong person if you cannot show your emotions. Emotions are strength. Dads of the past are not who dads of now want to be.
