There are several distinguished British actors that are capable of doing the role justice, a few of which have already been in the Harry Potter series, and I’d count Jude Law among them. Although, my first choice probably would have been Damien Lewis, maybe Rhys Ifans if he wasn’t already Xenophilius Lovegood. The actual issue is how the writers handle the challenge of portraying a young Dumbledore, a side of Dumbledore not revealed too much in Harry Potter series, a Dumbledore conflicted with his past love of Grindelwald and intolerance of the latter’s acts; Harry potter autism turns muggles into wizards shirt a Dumbledore devoid of his earlier ambition following the events that led to his sister’s death and facing the realisation that seeking power would corrupt even him.

There are literally thousand of talented actors out there who would nail this part and the audience would just enjoy the performance instead of sat deliberating whether the actor ‘is or isn’t really a Dumbledore’… the Franchise is big enough to not have to use a name and give a new actor the springboard to make a name for himself – but they have been lazy and gone with Jude Law. What a shame. if this is true I think It may work well Albus Dumbledore lived till 115 he was born 1881 and already quite well known in his younger years when he taught Newton Scamander at hogwarts between 1908-1913 when he was expelled! I’m sure Newt mentioned him in “Fantastic Beasts”

Being that he lived till 115 and his death was only due to a killing curse he must of looked after himself well so we can likely assume that he probably looked well in his younger years and lets face it if you were a powerful young Wizard on the up and coming you would probably know the get rid of the excess Fat/ loose and flabby skin spell? Just Saying!! Even Wizards and Witches worry about how they look!! And they do have magic wands to wave over the things they don’t like!! I’ve digressed Jude Law would do a great Job I think and he would definitely show the respect to the Character of Dumbledore that is due!!
