They could have pixar’d this movie to make sure it’s as vibrant and colorful as the original. Or hell, just not make it a gray, dull, boring looking mess. The colors do seem muted, but let’s not forget these are trailers. It’s very likely finishing touches have yet to be made. And even if they aren’t, I will love the insane realism anyway. Make me believe I’m in Africa and I’ll be good to go. But personally speaking tho, the colors of the animated version are NOT what made me love Lion King. That’s probably why I’m more forgiving of color schemes. But no, what was magical to me was the music Disney lion king rafiki sarcasm loading please wait shirt (ESPECIALLY the music), the realistic animation of the animals, and the characters themselves. Colors were a bonus, really. So to see a muted color pallet on the remake matters little to me. Now to see Hans Zimmer back to score? I know, just like how Robin Williams Is! The new Voice Actor for scar just doesn’t have the voice that evokes fear and Villainy like Jeremy Irons. It’s a shame that they couldn’t get at least all the iconic voice actors back for this. Generic animals are portrayed like that, not actual characters. I get they wanted to improve their CGI&Realistic effects skills but why suppress all forms of expressions, I would prefer a kinda-funny-looking eyes-faces WITH expressions. Not just their face, all their non-verbal body language is off…like the part of Hakuna Matata doesnt even look like fun in the trailer. They just walk straight when they are supposed to have a Blast Your judging way before the movie is even out, look at the actos, look at the cgi. Your missing the fact that this not only looks beautiful but its just not the same get over your childhood self and see things from a different point of view so a person isn’t allowed to compare two forms of animation and prefer another? Because “childhood”?
