At the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, Bulgari appointed actress Anne Hathaway as a brand ambassador. I think the main reason is because of Anne’s role as Daphne Kluger in the action comedy Ocean 8 . The image of her radiant in high-end jewelry – although not from Bulgari – in the film makes people unforgettable. And now, that attitude of Anne Hathaway is revived in the latest short film, starring another Bulgari ambassador, Zendaya.

The short film Unexpected Wonders is a Bulgari promotional campaign directed by Paolo Sorrentino. But when I watched the scene, I felt that it could completely be expanded into a feature-length movie, about a hidden relationship between Anne Hathaway and Zendaya.

In the film, the two actresses take turns telling stories, while immersing themselves in the most extravagant high-end jewelry from the Italian jewelry brand. But behind their words lies an indescribable charm. And they also looked at each other with eyes full of taste.

At the end of the film, the two women leave a luxury villa in Rome and hug each other. It is not yet clear what kind of relationship they have. As a couple, two successful soulmates who can afford to pay for Bulgari jewelry, or two jewel thieves planning the heist of the century to come?

I really hope Bulgari will develop the content into a 90-minute movie. Under the direction of Oscar/Golden Globe-winning director Paolo Sorrentino, along with the top-notch acting skills of Anne Hathaway and Zendaya, it’s going to be a small hit at the box office!
