TUI has postponed more vacations until August, putting more Britons’ plans to travel overseas this summer on hold. It comes as a shock to many Christmas aspirants, especially given the impending implementation of new travel rules next week.
TUI has canceled further vacations until August including those in Italy and Spain
From July 19, double-jabbed Britons will be permitted to return from countries on the Amber List without being quarantined if they have a negative PCR test. On Thursday, the government will review its overseas travel guidelines for red, amber, and green list sites. Despite this, TUI has canceled a number of flights and vacations until at least July 31. Turkey, the Maldives, and the United Arab Emirates are among the countries on the blacklist. However, many popular British holiday destinations, such as Spain, Italy, and Greece, are expecting a surge in visitors starting next week. “This summer, we want to provide our guests flexibility and choice, therefore where borders are open and FCDO guidance allows travel, we will operate to those destinations as planned,” a TUI spokeswoman said. “Every three weeks, we reassess our vacation schedule and cancellations in accordance with government changes, with the next update coming on July 15th.” In addition, the tour operator announced that it would be canceling a number of trips to Greece and the Spanish islands in July.
