Spring-summer 2023 brilliant rendezvous in the California desert
With the Spring-Summer 2023 collection titled “Brilliant Date”, Cong Tri boldly arranges her “date” in the arid desert of the wild Joshua Tree. The background is the Acido Dorado building emerging as a block of gold with mirrored ceilings and walls, frames formed from twisted metal bars, and heart-shaped blocks. The “brave” work of architect Robert Stone was built as if to break through the natural scene here, inviting each strip of light to stop and creep into each “molecule” of the whole building. “The desert, a land with no people, no birds, no animals, not even a tree or a blade of grass, but I always think about life there. That is the way of being present in this life of every being. It was as beautiful as hoped, truly extraordinary and moving. I always dream of seeds of courage like the Pata de guanaco seed, which can lie dormant for decades in the desert – the driest place on Earth, waiting for a little rain to sprout and bloom brilliantly. Cong Tri said.
