The original “movie” wasn’t a movie. It was a television series later remastered to flow like a movie on DVD or VHS. This new version of IT is the only full length theatrical movie. That’s why it’s not a remake. It’s a new adaptation of the book. Ok we get it the original mini series is the first one I seen when I was a kid. To me it’s a remake, to others maybe not so much. How would you know this is the original story when they tried to mirror the mini series? Just curious. And Cole, movies/mini series there are plenty of examples that don’t follow the books. Game of thrones and I’ve read the books and watch the show. I’ve been keeping up with the director and screenwriters since the first teaser trailer came out in March. I’m a part of a 13,000+ member group who discuss King and IT daily. There’s been sneak peaks and scripts leaked. So without seeing the movie I know it’s far different.
