So I was speaking 5 languages as a child. I now speak 9 languages since any other language is easy for me to learn. Italian, French, German and Portugese. This classroom is a mistake making laughter sharing poster I am shocked that Black Americans do NOT speak their ancestors language. To me that’s something I just dont get.

Where did it go wrong. Black Americans don’t know exactly who their ancestors were or where they originally came from. I’d have to learn all the languages just to maybe cover one ancestor. Yes, is she’s wright. The English you learned to speak is obviously not your mother tongue. Many people especially in my country, feel embarrassed to speak their language. As a black man, Who are you if you can not speak your mother tongue? Ghana is not a special case. This classroom is a mistake making laughter sharing poster Botswana is the worst, some people are sidelined for speaking their local language esp Kalanga and Basarwa (Khoisan) so many have resorted to speaking murdered English instead.

Same goes for skin tone, the darker you are the less chances of finding a job especially in Asian companies operating here. It’s sicker than AIDS and cancer combined in my country, we do both, English as additional language, and Home language, this help alot, speaking Home language only aint cool, there is still varsity and you should know English very well to succeed That got its own limitations , good initiative BUT the world as gone global and Africans cannot even agree on a common policies to elevate poverty.. or just getting out of our own differences for the good of their population bring in languages , Sad true i wish African leaders could see life in the eyes of their population but they do see it in the eyes of their own stomach
