what a bunch of people fail to realize is that Walt Disney’s wish was to remake all his Disney movies for the newer generation so they could fall in love with these movies also. Everyone either wants to whine cause it’s a remake or whine if they changed everything. I agree with you. I think you can, voice actors usually have to know how to be expressive by voice alone, if they hire good voice actors that is I think it’s more about the animation anyway which in the case for the faces is very poor.

The changes made in Beauty and the Beast live action were decent but under utilized. Instead of the mirror you have a book that will take you anywhere! Why the hell did she use the horse to get to her father?! I mean they fix the plot holes only to add new ones. I get the whole “it’s for the new generation” but the fact that movie theatres will play the original Lion King for special releases.. personally I didn’t see it in the theatre when I was young but I still loved watching it at home. The only remake I enjoy is 101 Dalmatians with Glenn Close, they changed enough to warrant a remake in my opinion.
