Because universal healthcare results in higher taxes and many of us feel like we shouldn’t have the obligation of taking care of others when they can go and work just like we are!! Prisons being privatized aren’t destroying lives but they bring this nation a high source of income and it creates jobs!! The homeless argument is valid but a lot of that is on the individual themselves, however there a minimally taxing ways to assist them Farmer the tradition some folks don’t get it poster but we as a community shouldn’t wait on the government to help the homeless when we have free will to do so ourselves Tell me how a very sick person has a way of just “working like everyone else”. And universal health care could be achievable, it would just be a major shift.

A lot of the money spent on military or weapon making could instead pay for all your health care until the system is fully in place. The number one job of the federal government is to protect the people!! The military is a necessity and making sure we have superior equipment is a priority!!! As a citizen, that is more important than my tax dollars taking care of Mfs health needs especially when it’s folks I don’t care for or know!! Nowhere in my statement did I say it wasn’t achievable!! I said it would raise taxes!!! Something I’m not in favor of!! We don’t need a universal healthcare system because it’s not my obligation to take care of those who don’t have what I have!!
