Virginie Viard opened the show with designs inspired by racing apparel, representing the famous annual Grand Prix races. Models strutted around in racing jumpsuits made of tweed and silk, holding helmets, crocheted racing gloves and tweed caps.

The red carpet of the second Met Gala 2022 exhibition “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” has come to an end.
