the smell of cannabis by itself isn’t probable cause, and hasn’t been for several years. simply put, this was a case of a security guard overstepping his duties, and leos not following proper protocol. the patient and his family have the evidence to file and win a lawsuit against that security guard and those leos. i’m not usually one to advocate for those kinds of lawsuits, but his rights were horribly violated
