The issue everyone misses isn’t the child using the gun but our broken prison system. Why does someone have 6 felonies? Shouldn’t going to prison help change that? If they aren’t improving the lives of the people they hold, they are at fault for the unchanged behavior of criminals. If someone breaks into my home while I’m home or even if I’m not home and my kids are they better hope West virginia a place your heart will always be poster it’s one of us that gets to them with a gun first and not my dogs because at least their death will be as humane as possible instead of being torn to pieces by 2 70lb pitbulls. Just saying. He never should’ve been put in that position to start with.
As an adult I know how hard it is to take a life for any reason. I also know that deadly force is only used when there are no other options .so I hope the parents are getting this child counseling to help him understand he might’ve saved his life but he took another life and that is not something you do on a daily basis and living in the country there are other options just like if somebody wants your wallet give them your friggin wallet it is not as important as your life. I believe in teaching your children about guns and defending themselves. People are upset because he had to kill someone. He wouldn’t of had to kill anyone, had these idiots been taught right and wrong to began with in life.
