i hope i’m wrong. but the scotus has already been stacked conservative, and in case you haven’t been paying attention, highly unqualified and extreme federal judges (with lifetime appointments) are being seated at a record pace (no exaggeration) by this administration. many of them have published strong opinions Welcome to our home roll for initiative poster about their biases regarding lgbt rights and/or “religious liberty” bills, all of which lean toward protecting people’s religion over protecting any minority.
again – i hope i’m wrong – but in your lifetime, based on what is going on right now, obergefell could be challenged and overturned by scotus with the “right” case, and poof – there goes your “right’ to get married, too. i’m about 20 years older than you, what they couldnt provide. Today i know that it pained her more than us because she felt she failed us. But today i am happy to say that i hope she understands that i understand the reasons behind everything. And i hope she knows that i think she didnt fail us but succeeded in the way that we understand why everything was the way it was. Today i see her strength and know i couldnt ask for a better mother.
