I am sure this worked for pre school and infant schools, however when you are trying to gain the attention of children in subjects that are not appealing to children, then too much to distract their attention I love the idea of bringing back unstructured free/play time for young kids. Vintage school’s out for the summer shirt They are not supposed to be sitting all day. Many schools could get similar results just by incorporating more outdoor time into their schedule. One idea that started in the UK is the Daily Mile.
Vintage school’s out for the summer shirt
as usual is way to binary this tedx way of speaking like they’ve found the key of a true miracle etc and this is quite annoying cause what they say when you put this away might be really interesting as for this one. But it’s, again, a bit simplistic. No “open plan” is a total miracle, absolute gr8 solution etc etc. We need successions of different spaces, with fluidity, some open, some more intimate, some noisy, some more quiet. Vintage school’s out for the summer shirt PLUS when they say noisy environments are helping increase focus habilities, this might be true for some children (not even sure), but it has been prooved many times that some children on the opposite need really quiet spaces to learn, especially the ones with learning disabilities for example so that doesn’t make a very inclusive learning space in that way.
Hang out with these badass items
Oh that’s not nothing new. They had open classrooms in grade school in the 1970s. I had a few. Noisy. Had all the land behind the school for playground with seings, poles to climb, baseball and kickball fields, a tower witj a fort and plenty of trees to climb. This is a marvelous concept. BUT…it seems to me, we best get back to the basics first such as the real skills f learning reading, math, maybe even writing, oh yes history and geography, and leave out he task of learning how to take tests. Art and music would be an amazing concept we seemed to have lost. I think our most important job to teach a younger child is to play, share, kindness and learn how to use ones imagination. All these skill lead to great inventions, artistic endeavors, caring for others…medical, first responders and the list he’s on. To me, this how we need to teach our children….get them out of the I me, I want, I better get, or else world. The there will be less hate, more productivity.
