In no way shape or form was it easy but was it necessary ? Absolutely! It was the best decision that I could have made for us as a family and I do not regret it one damn bit! I had 4 children with mine and we were together 11 1/2 yrs. I go to church and believe in God which is why I had the strength to.leave and do the right thing for my children ! Staying in a toxic marriage does more harm to children than walking away. It teaches them what they should and should not put up with when they are older as well. We are our children’s teachers . They learn from watching us . If we stay and put up with abuse what does that teach them ? Unicorn baking makes me happy humans make my head hurt shirt Staying in a marriage where there is money. trouble or normal every day issues is one thing but abuse physically, emotionally and mentally Is not ok! Having a good friend does not stop abuse. It does not save our kids from witnessing the abuse and it having permanent lasting effects on them ! It was one of the hardest choices I had to make but I did it for my kids and for myself .

I don’t know where that came from , but not at all. I was young when we met , had a good job, graduated early from highschool with excellent grades , I had no reason for low self-esteem . I didn’t seek out or plan on a future with someone abusive. Not everyone is who they seem to be when you meet them People change and a lot of time it’s not for the better . Women who are abused usually meet men who are narcissistic and act like great men in the beginning. They make you feel on top of the world and then turn on you. I don’t think anyone seeks out a traumatic and horrifying relationship
