I once was in a such a relationship, at first I thought it was love but the guy became so controlling that even meeting up with my own brother was an issue,talking to my own male customers since I was working somewhere in a restaurant was still an issue, having phone calls from former school mates or my church youth group was enough to create an argument. In relationship, there should be personal space. It’s about trust, love and giving your significant other space and time to do different things by themselves, meet up with friends and family members freely. Not trying to control everything around them.
The Person that wants to be with me has to be RELAX, not pushy. He will respect my boundaries, my privacy, me “ME TIME”. Will respect the fact that I have friends and that is completely Healthy to keep other relationships as for as we are social beings. Will understand the fact that I may want to go on vacation on my own or with my Friends. That my social media is, well, my diary, not HIS page. Will respect the fact that I may not like the same things as he does and viceversa. Will understand that everyone has a PAST and that THAT shall never be used as a tool to purposely hurt each other. Will never try to change Me. I will be Me at my maximum expression and that’s the only way he will admire Me, for who I AM in PRESENT time.
