I think Leah is a brilliant mum but the one thing that pisses me off because of their safety is when I see her texting or holding her phone while driving with the kids in the car. Very dangerous. Getting extra fluids and IV meds such as acetaminophen can reduce pain etc. I’ve never seen mono in a kids this young – it usually affects more teens and young adults.

I work in a pediatric ER I’ve seen it in younger kids then this. Strep you need antibiotics for but it won’t help with mono. Listen I said I’m glad she’s ok and I also said I PERSONALLY wouldn’t take my kids or myself to the ER for that but that’s just me. As someone who got mono in high school, yes it never leaves your system you will test positive the rest of your life. Mono isn’t a simple virus it attacks your organs and can kill you. Those saying I only go to the ER for dangling limbs good for you, but mono is a serious illness that can take you life. As a small town urgent Care worker let me inform you what we are for: flu, strep, minor cuts, sprains, and some broken bones. We are not where you go with heart attacks, pneumonia, serious cuts, and major broken bones. We aren’t capable of major hospital procedures and will tell you at check in that’s where you need to go.
