I agree 100%. I’ve never been a fan of Coach Smart, but I am a Longhorns fan, and I AM proud the guys won a postseason tournament this year, something Rick Barnes (as excellent a coach as he is) never did while at Texas. how do you figure 69th best team? By beating five teams that were ranked in the top 25 and winning the NIT National title, they are better than Kansas, NC, Purdue, and others. By your logic, beating Purdue put us at around number 5 or 6 in the nation.

So congrats on being the 69th best team!??! A school of over 50,000 students, one of the largest and most wealthy and powerful in the country is celebrating a win over a school with barely 4,000 students? I get playing the games, and might as well win, but never understood celebrating NIT when your goal is NCAA. If Lipscomb or another small school wins, I get it, they aren’t in the same league at Texas and other major schools.
