a very sad truth; but once a child reaches the point they can make their own decisions in life, they no longer have their elders to blame. I grew up in a horridly racist home, but when I moved out, I decided to overcome that obstacle. I now have friends from other races, religions, sexual orientations, etc. We have fun together and laugh at all those ignorant jerks who look at us funny because the’re puzzled as to how we could be friends. Sorry girls my heart belongs to my mommy shirt I look at a person and see only one thing…a human being. Although the media and bigoted people feed the problem, it only takes people standing up and saying “enough” to make a start at curing this. Don’t buy the rags that feed the hate and teach your children that racism is wrong.
Truly intelligent people make their own decisions and know that racism is wrong AND they do what they can to help put a stop to it. If everyone does their part to end this, it will eventually become a thing of the past. Don’t just stand on the corner and cry over what’s wrong with the world, get out there and DO something about it. Parents are a child’s first and best teacher; teach them what’s right. It’s not always taught for kids maybe but adults get it from the races that shows their true colors, but that’s not racism that’s just humanity but those with closed minds see thing in a more narrow perspective
