I will always love my children no matter what they choose to do with their life. Slayyyter virgin who can’t drive shirt I can’t say I won’t be disappointed with some choices (like if they turned to a life of crime or something), but I’ll always love them and cherish them.
Slayyyter virgin who can’t drive shirt
“best self” is kind of personal but yes, it is what I and my husband thinks is the “best self”. My son will do the same to his children too because that’s something most parents do. It’s what humans do. We pick a romantic partner based on what we think is the best match for us and we tell them how they can and can’t act in the relationship (like no cheating for example) based on what we want out of the relationship. We put expectations on them and expect them to live to those standards. Slayyyter virgin who can’t drive shirt I understand that she’s trying to say not to live vicariously through your children and to put unrealistic expectations on them. But I don’t think we should just let kids go through out life never teaching them good vs.
bad and how to treat others and how to be self sufficient and etc. That’s them learning how they can be their best self. We shouldn’t force the kids to do things they dont want to do, like be some football player or whatever because we want them to be a great football player. But I will, I guess, “impose” my beliefs of how to be their best self by teaching them what I do believe to be core values. “No stealing” “treat others with respect” etc. In the end it is up to my kids to be their best self but I will be at peace knowing I taught them what I believe is right. I guess that goes against what she’s saying maybe because I will decide what lessons to teach to be their best, but eh. I guess to each their own.
