I work in an ICU and have been part of the final walk of a hero. It is one of the most unexplainable feels. So terribly sad for the family, Nobody is perfect but if you are firefighter you’re pretty damn close shirt so terribly proud of the family, and so happy for the people who will now get a 2nd chance. May God bless this man and his family.

We have a school for the deaf in my fire district. I do know some basic signing so it’s helpful when we have a call. My first call after I got my EMT (19 years ago) was at the school and I was able to talk to the patient with ASL. It was great. I believe it’s about time that all of our men in service red-white-and-blue deserve a raise whatever happened to that raise they were supposed to get after 9/11 never happened I work in a mainstream school but you know a would love all schools to teach that as a subject, I alone would love to learn how to sign. Nobody is perfect but if you are firefighter you’re pretty damn close shirt I can remember we had a child who’s mum was deaf and at the end of term assembly the kids leaving do a kinda show for the rest of the school and parents,we actually found a person to come in and sign it especially for the boys mum n can a tell you all eyes where on the signing watching it made that particular assembly special in so many ways I think everyone should have the chance to learn how to sign I live in Scotland
Welcome to the awesome collection in here

There was actually a Girl Scout that made it her Gold Project and got a federal law passed that Sign Language is now considered a foreign language the same as French, Spanish, etc. It’s not hard to sign a child up for classes outside of school. It’s good to have after school activities, it keeps kids busy and should foster good habits for life. I used to say they should teach x in school, until I realized all these things were things my parents should teach me. Sure they worked a lot and I was home alone a lot of the time (which fostered unhealthy living habits) and I never had any activities outside of school (except I went to cub scouts one year) because my mom claimed we didn’t have the money for these things, yet she was still able to afford drinking and parties with their friends.
