I was so happy to read your post. People have been saying on t.v. and the radio talk shows that it wasn’t as good as the animated version. That Elton John should have concentrated on bringing Aida to the screen. I thought they did such an amazing and phenomenal job on it they pretty much kept almost everything the same and the little twist they added to it were perfect Kings are born in august the lion king shirt I have no complaints with the movie what so ever the only part I wish they would have kept in is when Rafiki hits Simba on the head and tells him that the past can hurt I did miss that part in the movie but other than that the movie was phenomenal it brought back so many childhood memories I love graphic design, photoshop and all that, did enjoy the way new Lion King looks, great.

BUT that movie from 94′ had one major stenght, witch make it soo much more than just a story, it was music and songs, so powerfull to resonate 24 years later, with passion that completly blow away their new versions. Its amazing how Elton John original soundtrack can hold all this years, and will be strong for many more i guess. Do those who loved this movie obviously aren’t a real fan of the original. This movie was OK but no where as great as the animated version.
