If you do not live in fear of being killed or your children or spouse or ANYONE you love being brutalized or assassinated simply for the melanin content of their skin, then you have no idea what this feels like. If you have never been followed around a store from the time you entered because you are black, or had white women move to the side on an elevator in fear of being robbed, In this classroom we are flamingos poster or waited longer than everyone else at a restaurant…and I could go on and on but why?
