Racism exists everywhere, no matter what color, religion or nationality you are. My friend is white, her husband is black and their precious daughters don’t have much of a relationship with either Grandparents. White Grandpa couldn’t accept his daughter marrying a black man. Black Grandma & relatives questioned son why would he want to marry a white woman. Leaving two precious children without grandparents worth a dime. I’m not mean I’m just too old to pretend I like you shirt This same type of subtleness found within the boundaries of racism, which is believed ”non existent”, is regularly found in misogyny, homophobia, and every other kind of widespread hate. It’s funny how it’s so natural for people to project hate on everything that isn’t exactly the same as on their own person
That’s not entirely true. That’s just what Europeans tell their themselves to justify what they did. They also controlled what was being said. The intention was still to go to West Africa to get slaves. As a white person who benefits from white privilege I’m cringing at my fellow white people who are claiming everyone can be racist. Yes, everyone can be prejudiced against others, but if you have the advantages of a system that works in your favour and against the people you are prejudiced against, it’s a whole different ball game from when someone with no power who does not benefit from the system dislikes someone on irrational grounds.
