If work is the main reason of our stress then everyone at our work must be equally stressed, but if that’s not the case we must start looking deep within to find the root cause of our stress. That’s exactly what happened to me at my last job. Years of emotional abuse made me so sensitive n my colleagues n boss gave me so much stress that I snapped. I fell ill. I can categorically state that work can be the sole stressor in a person’s life. I believe the manner with which we handle the stress at work, will undoubtedly be informed by past experiences, but this is very complex and frequently multifactorial. I completely agree and understand your point. But there are many places that lack control, discipline and direction. Having rules and regulations and chain of command is very important in a work place. If there is none of that problems start so I don’t think it’s always the individual at fault. Having a strong team is key to success
