I had severe stenosis at L5/S1. Developed a blood clot in my spinal canal. Rare complication. It was my 10th surgery on my back. I can’t change what happened, but I alone determine how I react to and handle it. I must be positive in order to make the best of my years ahead! I was an RN for 40!years and a NP for 34 years. I WILL find another passion! Fantastic, I wish we could teach/ reteach our world that disability is a word not a fitting description of anyone. I’m 70% cool and 40% bad at math shirt We have the tools and imagination to bring new possibilities to everyone. Look deep inside and help pull out what each of us has inside. My son suffered a blood infection last December. His feet turned purple.
Welcome to these awesome items in here

The left one had to be amputated, the right one came back. The infection almost killed him. His body was shutting down and failing. All his organs were failing. We spent 32 days in the Children’s hospital. Thank God he’s still with us. Now we are just trying to navigate this new life. It’s hard enough being a 13 year old, now he has a life changing disability on top of that. It’s a struggle but we are getting through it together as a family. Watching my son unresponsive in a hospital bed for days is the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. Doctors told us he would die. They gave us 20% chance of survival. So thankful he made a miraculous recovery.
