My husband just passed last Easter. He had CLL but lasted 15 years with it. But he was 84. He didn’t treat it at all until the last six months. But it was Pneumonia that took him out. He never was in pain at all and passed so peacefully. I don’t understand why your getting so defensive? I’m all about breast cancer awareness and I do advocate for others cancers but we get far less funding than breast cancer gets. You can go into any store Give cancer the boot breast cancer awareness shirt and find t shirts and clothing for breast cancer but do you see anything for leukemia, colon, and all others cancer? No you don’t! . I was diagnosed with CLL on my 40th bday. Dr said that CLL is mostly in men in their 60s and 70s.
I went in for bloodwork for a back surgery and my bloodwork came back with my WBC way to high. My surgery was put on hold and started treatment for CLL a month after finding out. I’ve had family die in their 40s from colon cancer, breast cancer and brain cancer. I just wish we could get the recognition and funding that breast cancer gets. I pray that you never get any type of cancer or diseases. If you ever do you will understand what I’m saying. We just feel left out like we don’t matter what we had to go through. Plus the type of leukemia I have any many others have we are prone to getting other cancers.
