I can only imagine the feeling of having nothing to eat or a place to stay, in a different country, knowing nobody. I’m so happy to see you found good people on your way. These are the real heroes of our time, the ones who give unconditional love and care for total strangers. This man right here has survived the odds like so many other HONY interviewees. I tend to despise my own country, Italy (you don’t say!), because I always tend to see its flaws and faults. But, for once, I can say I’m proud of my fellow citizens. And if this guy wants to become a chef… well, he integrated well in Italy too! I was on the edge of my seat reading this. I kept waiting for something or someone terrible to happen to him. I’m so grateful he met people who were kind to him. Thank God for the people that have been put in his path. A mothers love … it is what the world was built on.
