The march was not just about Black people – it was specific about Black trans and Flamingo you don’t have to be crazy to play golf with us we can train you shirt Black Queer and the brutality they face. Sadly this brutality is widely seen in other communities, not just in the gay community.

Hell if there is a big Canada Day birthday parade they should march there as well. I do not feel this march should end at Gay Pride. I do not know any other large parades in Toronto like these 2. If there are more parades they can take the messages there. I rewatched the video and still feel strongly that these points should be made at different events to reach more people. Flamingo you don’t have to be crazy to play golf with us we can train you shirt But again, why would Black people need to be reached? Why have a protest against antiblackness among Black people?
Black people aren’t the cause of antiblackness so why protest there? BLM already has estatablished tactics and knows what they are doing. why go to a gay parade and say “Black queer lives matter, Black trans lives matter”? We have the same point here. I do feel that the Black Queer, Black trans lives matter message needs to also be broadcast not only at gay pride events, but also at a Caribbean event….or all events for that matter. Obviously BLM felt strongly that the message of Black Queer, Black Tans lives matter and if you watch the video and listen to the commentary from their spokesperson
